Pouncing...

Well, well, well, the cats are at it again.  They race up the stairs and over the furniture and then down the stairs and over the furniture and…….  They knock things down, they knock things over, they tip drinks, they spill bowls and they scratch everything they get near.  Just as you are about to call a halt to their antics, they are nowhere to be found.  You go in search and find them all sound asleep on their favorite resting place.  All except for the instigator.  There is always an instigator.  He/she will sit or lie awake somewhere nearby until he/she is certain the others are asleep.  Then he/she will slowly creep up to where they are all sound asleep and …POUNCE!

Every cat in the house (whether you have one or eighty) will suddenly be wide awake and the chase is on!  Up the stairs, over the furniture and down the stairs…….  Finally things quiet down and you find them all asleep in a sunny window.  All except for one instigator…..  See a pattern here?  It doesn’t end until each of them have had a chance to really wear themselves out and then they are all too tired to pounce.

Perhaps we should, nah, catnip would only egg them into wilder racing before they settle down for their final naps…LOL
