The newbie is creating more trouble:

The cats are beginning to take great exception to that darn newbie and his antics.  Why he even interrupts their afternoon naps, so needed in this day and age of rushing about, so that he can play with them.  How rude!  Well, Cocoa, for one isn’t going to take it anymore.  He has begun to sleep with his eyes open so that the newbie thinks he is awake and will leave him alone.  Since the newbie only goes for those asleep (element of surprise) the ploy works quite well.  In fact, others of the household are contemplating the same technique.  I wonder if it will work as well for them as it does for Cocoa-----
