The Cat Household had just settled down for their long awaited afternoon nap when:

Out of the ceiling fell drops of rain!  That’s right, it was raining in the house and the cats were getting very wet.  They raced from the bed and hid beneath it until the rain stopped falling; that is all of them except Tigger.  Tigger decided that he needed to clean off the water from his fur and then he looked up and around wondering where all of his pals had gone.  When one of them peeked out from under the bed and told him it was raining inside, Tigger just looked around at the falling drops of water and said:  “What do you mean it’s raining inside?  It doesn’t rain inside.  You must be imagining it!”  And he went on cleaning the water that seemed intent on gathering on his fur.

Cats don't like change because it makes them feel out-of-control.  If you must make a change in the lifestyle of a cat, be sure to place several items they are familiar with in the new setting.  It will help to show the animal that the change is minor and they will get comfortable much faster in their new surroundings.  Of course, cats are extremely adaptable, but why make your feline friend suffer longer than necessary?  For more information about cats and their care, you can check out the selection of cat care books on Amazon.com.
