The Cat Household is enjoying story-time.

Today, Tiger is going to tell us a tale about Dusty and the Pirate's Treasure.  Here he goes-shhhhhh, listen:

“Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a feline hero named Dusty.  Dusty loved to do battle with the nasty pirates who frequented the little island of Catville.  On this particular day, Dusty was jumped by a band of pirates who bound him and placed him on their ship to take him far away where they probably intended him harm.”  All the cats gasp at this announcement.  Tiger smiles and continues:  “But, Dusty wasn’t such an easy target as they thought.  You see he carried a special set of tools with him (his teeth and claws you see) and he used them to get himself free of the bonds.  Then he proceeded to use whatever weapons he could find to battle the pirates who jumped ship rather than fight such a frightening opponent.”  Here the cats all cheered.  Tiger continues once more:  He then searched the ship and found all of their treasures.  He piled everything into a large pile in the center of the deck and sailed the ship back to Catville so that all of his family and friends could take a piece of the treasure for themselves.  Isn’t he a great hero?”  All the cats cheered at this point and began talking about the treasure that their family had passed down through the generations.  Like the one pictured here, compliments of Salty, Dusty’s Ancestor:
