Cat supply suggestions

Cats everywhere are asking for more of what makes them happy, so here are some helpful tips:

Cats love to play, romp, race around or just climb onto everything.  By giving them things they like to play with, they will leave your curtains and flat-screen TVs alone.  Also, if you get scratching posts or scratching pads (Walmart has a large variety) the cats will usually leave your furniture alone.

Another suggestion is to allow your cat some time outside.  If you are anything like me, you don't want them to run off or get hurt, so try purchasing a cat yard (a yard that is completely enclosed and can be purchased from either of the sites listed above, or you can go to catfencein.com).  You can either get one that is permanently attached to the house and accessed via a cat door, or one that is temporary and sets up for each use.  This will protect the cats from running off and will prevent other animals from getting to your babies.  Be sure to keep a close eye on them though, because a hungry predator might just try ripping open the screening.

Finally, your pet loves you very much and prefers to sleep with you not in a cat bed.  Cat beds are for daily napping and lounging in the sun (in their opinion).  If you do not feel comfortable letting your cat sleep with you, try purchasing an enclosed cat bed (like the one shown below).  This will allow them to get warm and comfy in a little area that their body heat will warm fairly quickly.  This is an alternative that many felines will use rather than your bed.  You can also try the sites listed above for more ideas on cat sleeping beds and supplies.  I hope this has helped in some way to keep your cats and you happy and content.
