Oh how they love to play....



Wha, hey, where's the light, dude?  Why's everything moving?

I picked up one of those laser lights the other day and when I got home I opened the pkg and turned on the light.  At first the cats were curious and tried to smell the light.  Then they discovered that tiny red dot on the floor and did their very best to catch it.  It was a circus in our living room!  Somersaults, ring around the rosie, climbing on and over each other, slapping and pouncing and all within a square yard of space. 

We laughed so hard our sides ached and yet the cats, swooning now because they were dizzy, never let up.  They stumbled around trying desperately to catch that elusive little red dot as it zipped here, there and everywhere.  I decided they were dizzy enough and shut off the light.  Would you believe that they came over to the laser in my hand and tried to play with it and kept purring and sitting in front of me waiting for me to turn it back on.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  They looked like they had been taking way too much catnip as they swayed where they sat, but their eyes never left that laser in my hand.
