Tragedy has struck the Cat Household, well, maybe not.

Here he is taking his final nap
before heading out on his own.
Tiger, the biggest of the cats in the house, has decided he no longer wants to remain with the group.  He has decided to leave the warm, cozy life and step out on his own.  He feels that he needs adventure more than sleep (how unfeline-like that is) and he wants to experience the world before he ends his time as a feline.

The cats of the house gather in a circle around him to sadly offer their hopes and fears.  He smiles at them and reminds them that he will be back; after all, he is the biggest and therefore the best.

Most of them are watching, Cocoa spies
a bug and becomes distracted.
The time for him to leave arrives and he dons his backpack and waves goodbye to the group.  The door opens and he scoots out into the wide open world.  Everyone sits at the windows watching him as he wanders about sniffing and checking things out while the heavy rains pound against the glass.  He approaches the house once more and sits on the bottom step as the human heads back to the house.  He waits for his moment and dives for the opening before the human can get through.

The Cat Household, wiping the water off their faces where he sent it when he shook himself dry, ask why he has returned.  Tiger, a smart, well-trained cat replies:

It’s wet out there.  I think I’ll wait for a dryer day.”

Sometimes that is how the day goes in the Cat Household.
